ASA of Arizona Membership: Connecting You to Resources, Information and Industry Advocacy

ASA membership is organizational versus by an individual. Your membership applies to your entire company; there is no limit to how many of your employees become active participants in the association.

Membership includes Regular Members — specialty trade contractors holding a license in good standing with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and Associate Members — professional service providers and vendors to the construction industry. For just dollars per day your company can enjoy the many benefits of ASA — including membership in both the local chapter and national organization.

Members Only

Along with events open to the industry, ASA of Arizona offers three exclusive discussion forums for Members Only:

Legal Roundtable / Contract Study Group

Facilitated by the Attorneys Council This discussion group addresses your contract concerns and provides advice and information to help you negotiate your way to better contracts. Legal Roundtable sessions are facilitated by experts in construction law.

Partners In Construction Quarterly GC Partner Program

A quarterly forum for trade contractors and general contractor partners to discuss mutual issues of concern affecting the construction team, develop best practices to improve the team relationship, identify and discuss industry trends, as well as changes in the economy impacting construction.

Residential Construction Forum

A bi-monthly forum for residential contractors to discuss issues affecting the marketplace and construction team. The group works closely with ADOSH and other key agencies to address safety, industry trends, and education needs to benefit the home-building industry.

Committee Opportunities

ASA of Arizona provides members the opportunity to participate in a variety of committees and councils, as well as facilitates opportunities for members to develop their business skills, keep up with the latest trends in construction, collect information and develop valuable business relationships.

Government Relations-Advocacy Committee, Arizonans for Fair Contracting

This group identifies/develops a proactive industry/government relations agenda at the state/local levels, monitors/drives legislative reform, serves as the association’s legislative liaison on grassroots efforts. This group also comprises the steering committee for Arizonans for Fair Contracting.

Membership Committee

Committee develops/implements strategies and activities to recruit and retain members, organizes and coordinates prospective and new member meet-and-greet events. The committee meets in-person quarterly and holds brief, weekly telephone conferences.

Events Committee

Committee organizes and plans a calendar of general member meetings, special events (golf, bowling, etc.), networking mixers and assists with developing fundraising activities and training opportunities for members.

Health & Safety Committee

A forum for construction professionals to monitor and discuss issues and regulations that impact health and safety industry-wide, plan and organize training opportunities based on members’ needs, and interface one-on-one with ADOSH—includes AAMPP program.

Building Leaders Development Group

BLDG is a peer group and leadership development forum for construction professionals age 40 and under. Monthly lunch meetings feature speakers and programs to enrich, foster and encourage the next generation of construction industry leaders

ASA Job Board

ASA of Arizona offers members the opportunity to post free listings for jobopenings at their firm on the Association’s website. Additionally, the site is available for individuals interested in a career in construction to post resumes for member firms to view.

Staples Advantage Program

ASA of Arizona launched this unique buying consortium in 2010 to bring members deep discounts on office products. The program offers over 400 office supply items on contract at prices ranging from 5-90% off list. Over 80,000 other items are discounted at up to 65% off list. As an ASA of Arizona member there is no cost to participate in the program — and often the savings earned more than covers the cost of membership dues!

ASA Advantage Program

Exclusive to ASA members nationwide, the ASAdvantage guide offers significant discounts designed specifically for the unique needs of the construction specialty contractor. The program is coordinated by ASA national headquarters and includes a wide variety of well-known vendors that provide services for human resource management and employee benefits solutions, office supplies and services, project management and documentation, insurance, shipping, and more.

ASA Health & Wellness Benefits Program, Negotiated Discounts Programs and Affinity Programs

ASA of Arizona launched our exclusive “Health & Wellness Benefits Program” in late 2018 offering members a variety of employee benefit options and the association continues to develop special discount and affinity programs to benefit our members including relationships with Redirect Health, Liberty Mutual Insurance (personal lines), AAA Arizona and discounts on personal AAA memberships and more. Many programs are offered through ASA member companies, furthering our philosophy of Members-Supporting-Members.
