He also served as Co-Chair of Arizonans for Fair Contracting, where he played a key role in the successful passage of Arizona Senate Bill 1271 in 2019, establishing proportional indemnity protections for the state's construction industry.

Scott's construction career began in 1984 with Banker Insulation, where he started as a truck loader in the warehouse. Over the years, he advanced through the organization, serving as a field supervisor before moving into sales and estimating. In the late 1990s, he transitioned into management, eventually becoming General Manager of the Phoenix branch. In 2017, he was promoted to Corporate Operations Manager, overseeing 11 branches across four states.

Following the passing of company founder Jeff Banker in 2020, Scott stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer, working alongside Gary Banker to lead the organization. After Gary's passing in 2024, Scott continued to support the Banker family through the company's transition and eventual sale to Kinzler Construction Services. Today, he serves as Director of Business Development for the Arizona region of Kinzler Construction Services, doing business as Banker Insulation.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and has spent more than four decades helping shape Arizona's construction industry through leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to building strong industry relationships.
