SB1271 Moving BUT YOU ARE NOT NEEDED at the Senate on March 7

ASA of Arizona

Members:

I sent a message out last week to let you know that the Third Read and vote for SB1271 was pending and we anticipated needing your presence at the Capitol tomorrow, March 7. However, at the request of President Fann, we will hold off asking you to join us for a rally for SB1271 until the bill moves chambers to begin the trek for House approval.

Since Monday President Fann has been working with key stakeholders to fine tune bill language, which can be a painstaking process, and it is expected that any required amendments, approval by the Committee of the Whole, and Third Read will take place in relatively quick succession once stakeholder agreement is reached. Therefore, we will have industry supporters stand down this week and STAND BY for information on a rally once the bill reaches the House for hearing.

WE STILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE! We are asking you to invest your time in helping us push SB1271 forward. Your participation matters!

As requested last week, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE contact your Senator, identify yourself as a constituent in their district, and ask them to support the proportional liability bill SB1271. You can quickly and easily email your legislators (and look them up if you aren’t sure who they are) via the Arizonans for Fair Contracting web site at www.azfaircontracting.com or via the Legislature web site at www.azleg.gov. It’s quick and easy, and five minutes of your time can make a world of difference.

Again, I thank you in advance for your support and will be in touch again when we know more about a date/time for rallying for SB1271 at the Capitol.
